Five for Friday and A giveaway!

July 18th...already!

Time is moving quickly and I couldn't be any more excited about it! I have been in full planning mode trying to get things ready for next year. As you can imagine though, since I haven't had my own classroom yet, this is quite the challenging task. I really try focusing on planning but then end up with things like this:

Not exactly bad, I guess ;)

It's time for another addition of Five for Friday with Doodle Bugs Teaching.

My twin has officially been offered a teaching job! Not only that, but she got a job at my schools' feeder school, which is less than 1 mile away. #Twinning

This guy here is one of my BEST friends and he came to visit this week! We met in high school and have been great friends ever since, even though he was the "baby" of the group. Being able to see him this week, and spending time with him, was more special than pretty much any other thing that has ever happened in my life. Curtis was born with Cystic Fibrosis(CF) and this past December he received a life saving double lung transplant.

He was always in poor health but in December he began to decline quickly. It was terrifying! He went in for an evaluation for donor lungs when doctors discovered a problem with his heart that needed to be fixed. Curtis steadily declined during his heart surgery, so instead of waking him after the procedure, the doctors kept him under and immediately placed him on the transplant list. He was able to get a new pair of lungs...that were a perfect match....in 4 days. Seriously.

Going from preparing yourself for one of your best friends possibly dying at 21 years old, to sharing all of these incredible life moments...well there really are no words. But a lot of smiles!

Myself, the twin, and Curtis immediately after an EPIC jam session to Thriftshop.

I am so against puppies in pet stores :( but I still like to play with them sometimes. Also Ferrets

Shaunna and Curtis at a friends birthday dinner. Happy burfday James!

Curtis learning how to drive a stick. He already kind of knows how, but he wants to get better so he can drive his friends Mustang!

I don't really have a 4 or 5 this week. Number three pretty much takes the cake!
