My first classroom was someone else's as I took over a class from a teacher leaving in the middle of the school year. So it was already decorated. What is exciting for me right now is that my daughter just sent me pictures of her very first classroom two days ago! We are so ready to get her first room ready!

OOOOO exciting. Oh my gosh, I was so overwhelmed when I got my first classroom! I had 7th graders too, and totally didn't do that room justice. It felt crazy that whole year! Now 7 1/2 years later I've had 8 different rooms and have moved every year! Totally hoping that this year will be the first time I stay put and don't move.

I think I felt overwhelmed but not until I started trying to put it together along with lesson plans, my first apartment a wedding and a honeymoon all in the same week!
